Scott came to the Tampa Bay area as a professional jai-alai player. When he retired from professional sports, he worked full time with a commercial construction company, the Diaz-Fritz Group. There, he honed his skills and gained experience in preparation for his career as a builder of custom homes in the South Tampa area.

Since 1996, Scott and his wife , Jenny, work together to operate the business and research selections that reflect the true character of a home’s particular style. They work with professionals to design homes that fit the needs of the property and the clients. They are not mass production builders.

 Scott possesses a natural aptitude for structural thinking and functional problem solving. “When I was a kid, I used to take things apart around the house to see how they worked. My parents weren’t always happy about that, but I was curious”. This inquisitive and industrious spirit transformed into a passion and talent for home improvement. As an athlete, Scott was allowed the opportunity to pursue these interests during the “off season”. What began as a natural skill and a way to enjoy time at home with his family evolved into a successful business model. With the help of his wife and several former teammates, Scott successfully completed major home additions and remodeling projects. This experience led to his opportunity to work in commercial building but he discovered that his love of craftsmanship was best expressed in the residential market. It also facilitated the option of returning to working with some of his former jai-alai buddies who also had taken steps to develop their own artisan skills.
